Do You Need a Tutor to Learn Korean?

"Should I hire a tutor to learn Korean?" I've heard this question often, and my answer is usually something like this: "If you want to practice Korean and have nobody else to practice with, a tutor can be helpful." But it's too short of an answer for most people who are seriously considering hiring a tutor, and doesn't cover any of the other pros of having a tutor - it also doesn't address any of the cons of hiring a tutor. Yes, there are both pros and cons (large ones too) for hiring a tutor.
