Learn Hangul (Part 6)

Here’s the sixth episode of the new “Learn Hangul” series – a series designed to help you learn the Korean alphabet from the very beginning to the end.

So far we’ve been introduced to what Hangul is and talked about the basics. We’ve also covered a total of 10 consonants and 14 vowels. We’ve also learned 4 syllable blocks.

Part 6 will cover 4 new vowels. These will be the very last vowels that we’ll need to learn.

Stay tuned for more!

So I had to come back to this video from part 6. You confused me a bit. I thought at first it was 14 consonants and 10 vowels, but it is actually switched. I just wanted to let you know as I panicked.

I may also be wrong. I have no idea. May you please clarify?

    • That’s because that’s the “official” number of them, but it doesn’t include things like double consonants and diphthongs. The actual number is not important though, since all of them are in this series.
