Why I Became a Korean Language Teacher
A lot of you have been asking me how much money I make as a Korean teacher, as well as many other questions I haven’t had a chance to answer. This is because the answer to that question has changed over the past several years.
In this episode I cover why and how I became a Korean teacher, how much money I’m actually making through my books and my YouTube channel, as well as several other common questions about what goes on behind the scenes.
I have enjoyed many of your videos. One question: Are your shirt and hat your “trademark”?
Yes, I try to wear them in all of my videos.
thank you Billy for all your videos, I love watching them! you were the one who taught me how to write it again (i’m still below kindergarten level but at least it’s a start )! I learned as a young child originally because my mother is Korean and she was trying to learn English…., but then we move to Germany and I had to learn some German and I lost all my Korean. Even though my mother is native she most definitely is not a teacher and didn’t know how to really teach me anything. Also with her still trying to learn English there was not an opportunity to teach me Korean. Now that I’m 42 years old and have children I feel very sad that I don’t know how to speak. I watch your videos and try to learn what I can and I’ve ordered some books they’ve been very helpful. The problem is finding the time to learn is hard. I watch your videos driving to work, not really watching but more listening. On the weekends I will actually watch them when the children don’t have sporting games and that’s how I learn to write again. Anyway your videos are my absolute favorite and you have taught me the most and I hope one day to learn how to actually speak Korean. One day when my mother passes on I will lose all of my past so I’m trying to do what I can now!
Thank you for the nice comment! I hope you’ll be able to reach your goals for learning Korean 😀
